Description

Delicious chocolate chip cookies with crispy edges and soft, gooey centers, perfect for sharing or indulging.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until creamy.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually blend in the flour mixture, mixing just until no dry flour is visible.
  6. Stir in the semisweet chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the sheets for 2 minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Use room-temperature butter for a creamier dough. Don’t skip the resting period after baking for better texture.
