Ingredients
- 115g unsalted butter, room temperature
- 160g light brown sugar
- 40g granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 270g all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 200g chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Cream the unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
- Scoop the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are golden brown but centers are still slightly underbaked for a chewy texture.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
