Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, using a hand mixer, cream the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt until fluffy, about 2 minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips with a spatula or wooden spoon.
- Drop large spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden (cookies will look soft in the center).
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days at room temperature. Chill the dough for thicker cookies.
