Description
Delightfully moist banana bread loaded with chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.
Ingredients
- 1 & 1/2 cups (180g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup (60mL) vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 & 1/2 cups (360g) mashed ripe bananas (about 3-4 medium bananas)
- 1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, vegetable oil, and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, mixing until combined.
- Incorporate the mashed bananas into the wet mixture.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a skewer inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool in the pan until slightly warm before slicing.
Notes
Ripe bananas yield the best flavor. Don’t overmix the batter to ensure a fluffy texture.
