Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup (220g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup (227g) room temperature butter
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (165g) brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 25 to 30 Hershey’s Nuggets, chopped
- Sea salt for sprinkling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking soda; set aside.
- In a larger bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add in egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until fully incorporated.
- Fold in chopped chocolate until evenly dispersed in the dough.
- Scoop 3-tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart, and sprinkle sea salt on top.
- Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until the edges are golden brown and centers are soft.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
Notes
To keep cookies fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months with parchment in between layers.
