Description

Indulge in these super chunky chocolate chip cookies featuring crunchy edges and a gooey center packed with chocolate, perfect for sharing or enjoying solo.


Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup (220g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup (227g) room temperature butter
  • 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup (165g) brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 25 to 30 Hershey’s Nuggets, chopped
  • Sea salt for sprinkling


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a larger bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
  4. Add in egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until fully incorporated.
  6. Fold in chopped chocolate until evenly dispersed in the dough.
  7. Scoop 3-tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart, and sprinkle sea salt on top.
  8. Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until the edges are golden brown and centers are soft.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.

Notes

To keep cookies fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months with parchment in between layers.
