Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 egg


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, vegetable oil, applesauce, vanilla extract, and egg until well blended.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully combined.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  7. Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Chill the dough if too sticky and avoid overmixing to keep cookies tender.
