Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup applesauce
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, vegetable oil, applesauce, vanilla extract, and egg until well blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until fully combined.
- Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Chill the dough if too sticky and avoid overmixing to keep cookies tender.
