Description

Recreate the beloved Subway chocolate chip cookie with its gooey chocolate chunks and soft, chewy texture right in your kitchen.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 bag chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat until light and fluffy (4 to 8 minutes).
  4. Reduce mixer speed to low; add vanilla extract and eggs one at a time, mixing until well combined.
  5. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  6. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing gently to combine.
  7. Fold in chocolate chips just before fully incorporating dry ingredients.
  8. Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing 2 inches apart, and flatten slightly.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, checking around the 10-minute mark for golden edges and a soft center.
  10. Cool on baking sheets for about 20 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Use room temperature butter for easier mixing. For chewier cookies, chill dough for an hour before baking.
