Description

A delightful dessert that combines the rich flavors of chocolate with fresh strawberries, perfect for gatherings or family treats.

Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture over the cake batter.
  6. Sprinkle the chopped strawberries, coconut, and nuts on top of the batter.
  7. Use a knife to swirl the cream cheese mixture gently through the batter to create a marble effect.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool before serving.

Notes

Use ripe, fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Store leftover cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
