Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips

- In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy.

- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed in the dough.
- Scoop out portions of the dough and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving ample space between each cookie.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 14 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden, while the centers should remain soft.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
To keep cookies soft, avoid overbaking and store them in an airtight container.
