Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet mixture, blending until just combined—be careful not to overmix.
- Fold in the chocolate chips to create an irresistible batter.
- Drop the dough by large spoonfuls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them about 2 inches apart for even baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 14 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown while the center remains soft and slightly underbaked.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, chill the dough before baking and store cookies in an airtight container.
