Description

Delightful soft chocolate chip cookies with a perfect balance of sweetness and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, using a mixer, cream the softened butter and both sugars until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Add the salt, vanilla, and eggs, beating until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center.
  9. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
