Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, using a mixer, cream the softened butter and both sugars until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add the salt, vanilla, and eggs, beating until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown around the edges but still soft in the center.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
