Ingredients
- 1 cup softened unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir gently until combined.
- Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set and the centers are slightly underbaked.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
