Description

These cookies deliver a perfect combination of soft and chewy texture with a rich double chocolate flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  5. Fold in the dark chocolate chips gently.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them out.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges look set and the center remains soft.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh. You can also freeze the dough or baked cookies for later use.
