Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups dark chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Fold in the dark chocolate chips gently.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them out.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges look set and the center remains soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
