Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend this dry mixture into the creamed mixture until just combined.
  5. Stir in the chocolate chips, ensuring they are evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  6. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving space in between for spreading.
  7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers appear slightly soft.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the cookie sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
