Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
