Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the vanilla extract and eggs one at a time.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until the edges are golden but the centers are still soft.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
