Description

A delicious layered dessert combining rich chocolate cake, fluffy whipped cream, and gooey caramel, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 box of Devil’s Food cake mix
  • 1 can of sweetened condensed milk
  • 16 oz. of whipped cream
  • 22 oz. of caramel syrup
  • 8 oz. of Heath English Toffee Bits
  • 1 King-Sized Heath bar (for crushing and topping)


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cake: Follow the instructions on the box to bake the Devil’s Food cake and let it cool completely.
  2. Cut the Cake into Squares: Once the cake is cool, cut it into small squares.
  3. Add Sweetened Condensed Milk: Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cake squares and let it soak in.
  4. First Layer in the Trifle Bowl: Place half of the soaked cake squares in the bottom of a trifle bowl or large glass dish.
  5. Add the Whipped Cream, Caramel, and Toffee: Layer half of the whipped cream on top, drizzle half of the caramel syrup, and sprinkle half of the Heath English Toffee Bits.
  6. Repeat the Layers: Add another layer of the remaining cake squares, followed by the rest of the whipped cream, caramel, and toffee bits.
  7. Top with Crushed Heath Bars: Crush the King-Sized Heath bar and sprinkle on top.
  8. Refrigerate: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least two hours before serving.
