Description

Delightful and nostalgic chocolate chip cookies that are soft, chewy, and bursting with flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup softened butter (salted)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
  3. Gradually add in the flour, mixing until well combined.
  4. Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Using a heaping tablespoon, drop dollops of cookie dough onto an ungreased baking sheet or one lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
