Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter (salted)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, egg, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy (about 5 minutes).
- Gradually add in the flour, mixing until well combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a heaping tablespoon, drop dollops of cookie dough onto an ungreased baking sheet or one lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 5 to 7 days. For longer storage, freeze for up to 3 months.
