Description

Delightful No-Butter Sugar Cookies bring comfort and joy to any occasion without the need for butter.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup milk (or non-dairy alternative)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar, vegetable oil, milk, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.
  4. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they are about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just golden.
  6. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

For best results, measure your flour accurately and consider adding citrus zest or chocolate chips for variation.
