Description

Delight in the gooey, melty sweetness of these No Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, a lighter twist on a classic favorite.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a stand mixer, combine vegetable oil, dark brown sugar, and white sugar; beat until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and almond extracts.
  5. Gradually incorporate dry ingredient mixture into wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  7. Scoop dough onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 8 to 9 minutes until golden brown, then cool slightly on the pan before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For softer cookies, slightly underbake and allow them to set on the pan.
