Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a stand mixer, combine vegetable oil, dark brown sugar, and white sugar; beat until creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and almond extracts.
- Gradually incorporate dry ingredient mixture into wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop dough onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8 to 9 minutes until golden brown, then cool slightly on the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For softer cookies, slightly underbake and allow them to set on the pan.
