Description

A delightful dessert that combines rich chocolate and creamy layers, topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a pie dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until combined. Press the mixture into the bottom and up the sides of the pie dish to form the crust. Bake for 10 minutes and let cool.
  3. In a bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the chocolate pudding mix and milk, mixing until well combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour the chocolate mixture into the cooled crust.
  5. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Spread the whipped cream over the chocolate layer.
  6. Garnish with chocolate shavings.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing. You can use store-bought chocolate cookie crumbs to save time. Adding extra powdered sugar to the whipped cream can enhance sweetness.
