Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until combined. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the vanilla extract and egg until well blended.
  5. Gradually stir in the flour mixture until just incorporated.
  6. Fold in the mini chocolate chips and chopped nuts if desired.
  7. Drop small mounds of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about two inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
