Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a larger bowl, using an electric mixer, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.
- Add the vanilla extract and egg to the butter-sugar mixture, mixing until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Gently fold in mini chocolate chips.
- Scoop small dollops of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for about 10–12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown and centers are set.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For a crunchier cookie, chill the dough for about 30 minutes before baking. Store cookies at room temperature for 3-4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
