Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the butter mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Scoop 6-ounce portions of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown, but the centers are still soft.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For an even chewier texture, chill the cookie dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. Use quality chocolate for a richer flavor.
