Description

A quick and delicious recipe for Hungarian langos made in a hot air fryer, providing crispy, fluffy flatbreads without the guilt of deep frying.

Ingredients

  • 500 g flour, type 550
  • 250 ml lukewarm water
  • 1 pack of dry yeast (7 g)
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Herbs of your choice (e.g., oregano, rosemary)
  • Lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix lukewarm water, sugar, and dry yeast. Let it rest for about 5 minutes until bubbles form.
  2. Add flour, salt, and vegetable oil. Stir until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place in an oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces.
  6. Roll each piece into flat rounds about 1 cm thick.
  7. Preheat the hot air fryer to 180 degrees Celsius.
  8. Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Garnish with herbs or lemon juice before serving.

Notes

Ensure to preheat the air fryer and monitor the cooking time closely to avoid overcooking.
