Description

Delicious and playful cookies shaped like mummies, drizzled in vanilla buttercream and topped with candy eyes, perfect for Halloween festivities.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Vanilla buttercream for decorating
  • Candy eyes for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add eggs one at a time and blend well; stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until combined.
  6. Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet with space between each cookie.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes; check for doneness.
  8. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  9. Once cooled, drizzle vanilla buttercream over the cookies to create mummy wraps.
  10. Top with candy eyes while the icing is still soft.
