Delicious Halloween-themed chocolate chip cookies with colorful sprinkles, perfect for celebrations and fall gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar (67 g)
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar (100 g)
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (spooned and leveled (186 g))
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
- 1/2-3/4 cup Halloween sprinkles
- Candy eyes (optional, for a spooky touch)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, add the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Stir until smooth and well combined.
- Mix in the vanilla extract and the egg. Continue mixing until everything is seamlessly combined.
- Gradually add in the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda to the mixture, mixing on low speed until smooth.
- Gently fold in the Halloween sprinkles and chocolate chips with a spatula.
- Scoop 2-tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Cover the baking sheet and refrigerate the dough for 1.5 to 2 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Arrange the chilled dough balls on a baking sheet, keeping about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 11-13 minutes until the edges are golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. They can also be refrigerated or frozen for longer storage.
