Description

Classic chocolate chip cookies with a soft and chewy texture that evoke warmth and nostalgia.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
  2. In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. Cream the butter, granulated sugar, and light-brown sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Add salt, vanilla extract, and eggs to the butter mixture; mix until combined.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula or wooden spoon.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto lined baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown and the centers are soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes
