Description

Deliciously soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies with gooey chocolate centers, perfect for creating sweet memories with family and friends.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 12 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set but still soft.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, use room temperature ingredients and avoid overmixing the dough.
