Ingredients
- 1 cup butter (2 sticks), softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 ½ cups brown sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 8 oz chopped chocolate (dark, milk, or semi-sweet)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Incorporate the two eggs one at a time, followed by mixing in the salt.
- Whisk together the flour and baking soda, then gradually add to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped chocolate until evenly distributed.
- Portion out the dough into giant balls (about 1/4 cup each) and place on a lined baking sheet, leaving space for spreading.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown but the centers are soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
