Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a larger bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden around the edges but soft in the center.

Notes
For chewier cookies, add more brown sugar and chill the dough before baking.
