A hearty and comforting chili made with ground beef and beans, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the pot, cooking until the onion is translucent.
- Stir in the chili powder and cumin, cooking for another minute.
- Add the kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, and beef broth.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot!
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding a splash of hot sauce or diced jalapeños. Let the chili sit for a little while after cooking for enhanced flavor.
