Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are nicely golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For best results, chill the dough for 30 minutes before baking. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
