Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Scoop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until edges are set and centers are slightly gooey.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet briefly, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
