Description
Indulgent double chocolate cookies enriched with cocoa powder and filled with rich, melting chocolate chips.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups bittersweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy (3 to 5 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt, then gradually blend into the butter mixture until no streaks of flour remain.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes or until set but still soft in the center.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
For best texture, ensure butter is softened but not melted. Chill the dough for 30 minutes if possible.
