Description

Indulgent double chocolate cookies enriched with cocoa powder and filled with rich, melting chocolate chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups bittersweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy (3 to 5 minutes).
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt, then gradually blend into the butter mixture until no streaks of flour remain.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until set but still soft in the center.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For best texture, ensure butter is softened but not melted. Chill the dough for 30 minutes if possible.
