Delicious, gooey cookies bursting with chocolatey goodness, perfect for indulgence or gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to the creamed mixture, stirring until well combined.
- Fold in the bittersweet chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded portions of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the centers remain soft.
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 3 to 4 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Cookies can also be frozen for up to 2 months.
