Description

Chocolate meltaway cookies are a delightful indulgence with a soft, buttery texture and rich chocolate flavor, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup (120g) powdered sugar
  • 2/3 cup (80g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the unsweetened cocoa powder, flour, vanilla extract, and salt, mixing until just combined.
  4. Using a small scoop or your hands, form the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
  5. Gently flatten each ball with the bottom of a glass or your hand.
  6. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft.
  7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
