Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups chocolate chunks (dark or semi-sweet)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In one bowl, whisk flour and baking soda together, ensuring there are no lumps.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter with both sugars until fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet until just mixed.
- Fold in the chocolate chunks gently.
- Scoop dough onto the prepared sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers are soft.
- Allow cookies to cool on wire racks before enjoying.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Chilling the dough can help achieve thicker cookies.
