Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup caramel bits
- Sea salt for topping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture, being careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips and caramel bits.
- Using a cookie scoop or your hands, form balls of dough about 1.5 inches in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Remove and cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
For extra gooey centers, avoid overbaking. You can also swap chocolate chips for white chocolate for added flavor.
