Description

A daring blend of rich chocolate, mouthwatering caramel, and a touch of sea salt. These cookies are perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel bits
  • Sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add in the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet mixture, being careful not to overmix.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips and caramel bits.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or your hands, form balls of dough about 1.5 inches in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top of each cookie.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Remove and cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For extra gooey centers, avoid overbaking. You can also swap chocolate chips for white chocolate for added flavor.
