Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat and drain excess fat.
- In a crockpot, combine the browned beef, kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chopped onion, minced garlic, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
- Stir everything together until well combined.
- Cover and cook on low for 360 minutes (6 hours) or high for 240 minutes (4 hours).
- Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
For added flavor, serve with toppings such as shredded cheese or sour cream. Leftovers can be refrigerated for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
