Description

Rich and creamy sautéed mushrooms with garlic and parmesan that are perfect as a side dish or a main attraction.

Ingredients

  • Fresh mushrooms (button or cremini)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Handful of parsley, chopped (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the mushrooms gently and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Slice the mushrooms about a quarter inch thick.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  4. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until golden, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  5. Add the minced garlic and stir for about a minute, until fragrant.
  6. Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer for a few minutes until thickened.
  7. Stir in the parmesan cheese until melted and add salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Garnish with parsley if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For added flavor, consider adding a splash of white wine in step 6 or red pepper flakes for spice.
