Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until soft and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, and continue to beat until fully combined.
  4. Incorporate the cornstarch, baking soda, and salt into the mixture. Mix well until evenly combined.
  5. Gradually add the all-purpose flour one cup at a time, mixing until just combined.
  6. Stir in the milk chocolate chips until well distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Scoop out about 1/3 cup of cookie dough for larger cookies or use a medium ice cream scoop for regular-sized cookies, placing them on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake the cookies for 10 to 11 minutes for large cookies or 8 minutes for regular-sized cookies, until edges are golden brown and centers are slightly firm.
  9. Remove cookies from baking sheet and allow to cool before enjoying.
