Classic soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies, perfect for any occasion or mood.
Ingredients
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each one is fully incorporated before adding the next.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredient mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can also be refrigerated for up to two weeks or frozen for up to three months.
