Description

Classic soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies, perfect for any occasion or mood.


Ingredients

  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter with the granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each one is fully incorporated before adding the next.
  5. Gradually mix in the dry ingredient mixture until just combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about two inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown around the edges.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can also be refrigerated for up to two weeks or frozen for up to three months.
