Delicious homemade cookies that capture the magic of Subway’s fresh cookies—crispy edges and gooey center.
Ingredients
- 110 g brown sugar
- 110 g cane sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 250 g soft butter (at room temperature)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 300 g flour
- 3 bars of dark chocolate (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 175 °C for conventional baking or 150 °C for fan-assisted baking.
- Cream together the brown sugar, cane sugar, vanilla sugar, and softened butter using a hand mixer until fluffy.
- Beat the egg into the creamed mixture while mixing.
- In a separate bowl, combine the baking soda, salt, and flour, then gradually add this dry mix to the butter-sugar mixture. Stir until a smooth dough forms.
- Chop the dark chocolate and fold into the dough.
- Scoop the dough into balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving space between balls.
- Bake for 10–15 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
- Allow cooling on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use room temperature butter for the best texture. Chill the dough for 30 minutes for better results.
