Description

Delightful cookies perfect for sharing with family and friends, bringing warmth and comfort to any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips (or your favorite mix-ins)
  • Optional: 1 cup nuts (walnuts, pecans, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and nuts (if using).
  7. Scoop tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each cookie.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the centers are slightly soft.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For thicker cookies, chill your dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
