Delicious gluten-free chocolate chip cookies that are gooey, comforting, and easy to make.
Ingredients
- 1 cup (226g) butter, room temperature
- 3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup (150g) packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups (270g) gluten-free measure-for-measure flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups (540g) chocolate chips or chunks
- Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions
- Cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Mix in eggs one at a time and then add the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the dry ingredients: gluten-free flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes to overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop and roll dough into 1 1/2 tablespoon balls, placing on the prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until edges are golden and centers are slightly undercooked.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired and let cool on a rack.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
Notes
Allow butter to soften at room temperature for better texture. Experiment with different chocolate types for unique flavors.
