Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together.
- In another bowl, whisk the sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
- Cover and chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Scoop the dough and roll into 1-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar.
- Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spaced 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are firm and centers are soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Chill the dough to prevent spreading. Don’t overbake to keep cookies soft.
