Description

Delicious chocolate cookies with a rich flavor and a signature cracked appearance, perfect for sharing or enjoying with coffee.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Powdered sugar for dusting


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the sugar, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until combined.
  5. Cover and chill the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  6. Scoop the dough and roll into 1-inch balls; roll in powdered sugar.
  7. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spaced 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are firm and centers are soft.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Chill the dough to prevent spreading. Don’t overbake to keep cookies soft.
