Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are golden. Allow to cool on wire racks.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or refrigerate for up to a week. Freeze the cookies for up to 2 months for longer storage.
