Description

Delicious and nostalgic chocolate chip cookies made with granulated sugar instead of brown sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a couple of minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 1 week at room temperature. Refrigerate for 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
