Description

A timeless treat that combines sweet chocolate chips and buttery richness, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup (160g) packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy (about 2 minutes).
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract until well blended.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until edges are golden brown and centers are soft yet set.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for best freshness. For longer preservation, consider freezing the cookies.
