Ingredients
- 2 ¼ cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
- ¾ cup (160g) packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups (340g) semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy (about 2 minutes).
- Beat in the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract until well blended.
- Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, until edges are golden brown and centers are soft yet set.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
