Description
Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies with golden edges and a gooey center, perfect for comfort and nostalgia.
Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a small bowl, mix the flour and baking soda; set aside.
- In a large bowl, using a mixer, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
- Add the salt, vanilla extract, and eggs; mix until combined.
- Gradually mix in the flour mixture until fully combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop dough onto baking sheets by tablespoonfuls.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for about 1 week. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
