Description

Freshly baked chocolate chip cookies with golden edges and a gooey center, perfect for comfort and nostalgia.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, using a mixer, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the salt, vanilla extract, and eggs; mix until combined.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour mixture until fully combined.
  6. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  7. Drop dough onto baking sheets by tablespoonfuls.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for about 1 week. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
